About the Collective

At the core of the Eswatini Queer Women’s Collective was a base-line needs assessment documenting personal and security issues that LBQ women in Eswatini face. This point of entry enabled the collective to determine the needs of LBQ women, the issues they face and to make recommendations to local LGBTI organisations as well as LBQ women in Eswatini to address, inform and mitigate their challenges based on their lived realities. The security issues included vulnerabilities to sexual violations, exclusion from family and other societal spheres.
